The spice burger is no more

According to today's Irish Times the inventor of the spice burger, Walsh Family Foods, has gone out of business. I had no idea the spice burger was strictly an Irish thing. They may have been a tradition for 50 years, but from my one experience with them I think they're really awful. The one pictured in the article looks much better than the one I had.

Well, at least we now know what is in them, supposedly: blend of Irish beef, onions, cereals, herbs and spices coated with traditional outer crumb.

I have had hot dogs for both lunch and supper today. It was the last day of vbs and a lady in our church fixed all the workers lunch and it was chili dogs and tonight at familky night we were served chili dogs. They were good! We didn't have any spice burgers though. Probably because they are "no more"!

It looks like a very interesting picture. It looks like a salmon patty. Andrea puts a blend of onion soup mix and crackers, and it is quite good. I think that a "spice burger" sounds like a good idea, but apparently they didn't mix everything very well.

Read in the paper that the spice burger has been brought back from the brink!

Spice burger is nothing like a salmon croquette, which is delicious.
